Phillips Prayer Group
Every Friday morning at 6:00 AM Bob Brantley (at right) gathers together many local pastors and other interested people together to share there concerns and engage in prayer for the Phillips community.
YOU ARE WELCOME to attend always.
Below are current prayers and a prayer list put together by Bob Brantley.
Hymns: “Draw Me Nearer” "I Need Thee Every Hour”
I. ADORATION: “ The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; The Lord is clothed. He has girded Himself with strength. Surely the
world is established, so that it cannot be moved. Ps 93:1 Lord, we praise You for who You are--strong and majestic Creator and Ruler
of all things.
II. CONFESSION: “ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart—These, O God, You will not
despise.” Ps 51:17 Gracious Lord, grant us broken and contrite hearts as we confess our personal and corporate sins before You
III. THANKSGIVING: “Offer to God thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High.” Ps 50:14 Almighty God, we give You
thanks for Your eternal presence in our lives and our world through good times and bad....that You are the same yesterday, today and
forever....thank You for Your intervention in the negotiations of Dan and Vickie Ward with a potential employer resulting in their
taking the position in Wichita KS near Vickie’s relatives....thank You, Lord, for the substantial contribution of a Bloomington
Church toward the support of World Vision Minneapolis and the ministry of Mike Neterer....for his CSP diploma, just received....thank
You for the blessings and rapport among the Pastors and leaders attending the Wednesday prayer meeting at Lebanon Lutheran
Church.... for the return of Pastor David Fronsoe, who had not been able to attend for a while....for the continued focus upon
transformation in the neighborhood....for the completion of pipe repairs at Solid Rock Church and the plans of Pastors Norris and
Yvonne Rose to resume worship in their church building...for the eagerness of other pastors to assist in promotion to make this a
powerful re-establishment of God’s work in the neighborhood....for Your sure provision of the funding still needed to replace a boiler
and pay an old gas bill....
IV. SUPPLICATION: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove
what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Ro 122 Holy and righteous Father, we pray for deep, soul-searching
repentance and prayer among Your people--as never before—to bring spiritual transformation to this neighborhood and nation...
may the presence and power of Your Spirit reveal and convict us of every worldly sin, every idol in our lives that separate us from
You...may Jesus Christ be the un-contested Lord of all we are, all we have, all we do! “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test
me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Ps. 139:23
“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and
without hypocrisy.” Jas 3:17 Gracious Lord, our neighborhood depends heavily upon hospitals and other medical employers in our
midst and our brother Keith Jackson’s wife is a nurse, so we come to You this morning on behalf of the hospitals and nurses to pray
that a strike will be avoided or concluded swiftly.....may You be the Lord of all hospital and union negotiators, all deliberations, all
decisions....take away all traces of greed, fear and mistrust....let Your good, pleasing and perfect will be done for the sake of the
patients well being....the livelihood of the nurses....the other employees....and the moral and financial soundness of the hospitals,
doctors and administrators....may a Godly and peaceable conclusion to these differences be a holy example of reconciliation in our sin-
sick world! “Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” Jas 3:18
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of
joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb 4:12Our Father in heaven, will You mobilize a host
of God-fearing believers to pray for the PC-USA (Presbyterian Church, USA) General Assembly which is meeting in Minneapolis July
3rd to July 10th....fill them and the God-fearing delegates with faith....bless and lead Laura Scott (VA) and Mary Beth Shults (TN), who
Bob is praying for....and will You by Your Spirit touch and change many hearts among those who have exchanged the truth of God for a
lie and politically manipulated the procedural processes of the church for many years to pursue “social justice” with political ends
instead of proclaiming the gospel and Lordship of Jesus Christ....raise up powerful speakers to pierce the souls and spirits of those
attending with Your word....re-establish the authority of Your holy scriptures....traditional, biblical views of marriage....holy
ordination standards....support for the nation of Israel....the exclusivity of Jesus, the only way, the truth and the life....hear our
prayers, O Lord! Let this be a TURNING POINT in the life of this denomination....make it truly a part of Your church, the universal
church, the bride of Jesus Christ! “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Gal 6:7
“And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering...” Gen 22:8 Faithful Father will You grant
Your wisdom and the anointing to Pastors Norris and Yvonne Rose of Solid Rock Church as they plan to resume services in their
church building while not yet having confirmation of available funding to cover a boiler replacement and bills....we pray for Your
provision of all that is needed—including for their personal support—and Your guidance for them and other helping pastors in how to
best to promote their resumed services to old members and new people in the neighborhood....let the church be packed with seekers
for Christ who will find Him there. “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.”Lam 3:26
“...For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation...” Rev 5:9
Almighty God, we pray for the attendees, speakers and worship leaders at the Overcomers Family Camp this week....pour out Your
Holy Spirit as never before, Lord, on the needy, the hurting, the sick, the addicted and those in captivity to sin....may the love of Jesus
be visible as never before and will You, instill a clear vision of who You are in the hearts of Native American people....that You are the
God of all people—of every tongue and tribe and nation, not just the white man....the God of salvation who sent Jesus, from the tribe
of Judah to die for the sins of all men, giving eternal life to those who repent and believe in Him....Lord, will You lay the groundwork
for true transformation in the neighborhood by reconciling us and the Native people whom You love....deliver them and us from the
afflictions of un-forgiveness....bless Gordon and Sheila Thayer, the First Nations Recovery Center and the Life Recovery meetings
....provide for their building needs and provide funding for finances and transportation. “Now all things are of God, who has
reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation...” 2 Co 5:18
“You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You will take me into glory.” Ps 73:24 Almighty God, we lift up Pastor Laurie Eaton, the
council and members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church...guide them through Your word and lead them by Your Spirit in their
strategic planning to bring the saving love and grace of Jesus to the people of their neighborhood....build bridges between them and
other churches and believers to fulfill Your purposes. “All men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.” Jn 13:35
“If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways...” 2 Chron
7:14Almighty God, as we cope with the oil spill, economic struggles, bloody wars and leadership which promotes what God opposes,
let us fall to our knees to join a host of others on July 4th to celebrate not only our independence, but our dependence upon You...bring
us to our knees in humble, repentant prayer for our nation on that day. “...then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and
will heal their land.” 2 Chr 7:14
